John Turner is a partner and financial advisor for Stream Wealth Partners and an investment advisory representative with Avantax Investment Services℠. With more than a decade of experience in the financial services industry, John is committed to serving as a trusted advisor and finds it rewarding to see his clients pursue and reach their goals.
At a young age, John discovered the comfort and power of financial independence. After his parents divorced, his father had a difficult time making ends meet, financially. Often, he was unable to visit John on the weekends because he instead had to work. Seeing how wealth and income can affect a family left a lifelong impact on John. He wanted to pursue a career that allowed him to make a positive impact on families and help them pursue financial independence. Upon graduating college, he entered the financial services industry and joined broker-dealer Avantax Investment Services℠. He has worked with the broker-dealer ever since, building his independent practice, Turner Wealth Management, Inc. While building this practice, he was able to also build the relationships with Darrell and Nathan that lead to their founding of Stream Wealth Partners.
With a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin, John has acquired complex problem solving skills, which he applies to his clients’ financial situations. Viewing each situation as a problem with variables and desired outcomes, he strives to put together the best solutions for clients. John is also credentialed as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and holds FINRA Series 6 - Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative, 7 - General Securities Representative, 63 - Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam, and 65 - NASAA-Investment Advisors Law Exam securities registrations. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA®), is the Chairman for the West Austin Chamber of Commerce, and is an Ambassador for the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce.
John currently resides in Lakeway, Texas with his wife, Adrianna, and their two daughters, Lennon and Marley. Together, they enjoy spending time in the outdoors, entertaining friends, and relaxing at the lake. An avid sports fan originally from Houston, John enjoys watching the Astros, Rockets, and Texans. As a Longhorn alum, he is a dedicated UT fan.
